waterpark

Today was the day that we have been waiting for all summer.

Bridger got up from his morning nap, and was so excited to head out to the water park.

We got dressed, put on our sunscreen, hats, and shoes and we headed out.

It was packed!

We located our spot to set all of our stuff down and then quicker then quick Bridge headed straight to the water.

So fun!

We splashed!

We jumped!

We danced!

We played!

and.....

We fell asleep FAST!

Such a great afternoon.

This week

It feels like we have been super busy since we have been back from vacation. After getting home, Ben went back to work as usual and then I headed off to school conference for the new grant that the district got. I'm pretty excited about the whole thing, so when I was asked to go I was very pump. Unfortunately it rolled right into getting home from vacation so Bridger headed to daycare for two days. Of course though he was loved by all his teachers. Sure do love our daycare girls.

Over the weekend we celebrated Grandpa Parsons 70th birthday with great aunt Judy and unlce Don. Nothing better then a big table full of family and grandpa's burnt chicken. Only thing missing was his beans:) Shhh don't tell him I said that though!

Saturday Bridger and daddy headed out to MK Nature Center with grandma and grandpa and uncle Don and Aunt Judy, I was at home doing lots of laundry and resting a little. From the stories the boys brought back it sounded like grandma didn't let Bridge down from her side the whole time. Too fun. I heard their was some story about why they had a big drum full of water or something? Either way Ben said he sure thinks that him and uncle Don are alot alike with their humor.

So this week  is the start of "real" summer but we had some interviews going on at school so I headed off to those in the morning on Monday, while big man went and saw all his friends. Hopefully for a while I should have a nice break starting now. The weather has been not the best. rainy, mid 70's not really what I like to call "SUMMER", however the weatherman said that it should be up into the 100's by Friday! We are heading to the water park when Bridger wakes up from his nap today!

The day to day task of being home all the time has put a new spin on what it means to keep your house clean and presentable at ALL TIMES. Lets just say holy moly, with a toddler who doesn't stop going I feel like the energizer bunny who keeps going and going and picking up and picking up.

He sure loves his baths, I think yesterday he took 4. From the bath to the sink (while I mopped) to my shower back to the bath after yogurt, it was definitly a day for baths.

Life is good!

sometimes the word "no" makes us mad

Today we are learning what the word no means. and sometimes its no fun. poor guy.

Road Trip back home... WE MADE IT

We made it home Monday night around 8:15 pm.
Exhausted, tired and not ever wanting to be in the car for a very long time.

Here are a few pictures I had on my phone from the trip. Enjoy!

What do kids do in the Midwest, well they play with water ALL DAY LONG, because it is so dang hot.

Vacation part12... Father's Day and McCook

This year we were lucky to spend our Father's Day with Daddy and Papa.

We missed Grandpa Parsons though.

We celebrated with with a fantastic breakfast at Wheatfield's followed by hugs and goodbyes after two weeks of vacation with my family.

We headed out to McCook in the afternoon to see Bridger's Great-Grandma Mackey. With any road trip we had a minor mishap with the diaper. Bridger had a nasty blowout.

Daddy took control of the situation, pulled off onto a dirt road and changed Bridger right on top of the trunk of the car. No big deal. Love that guy. We couldn't help but think what passer byes probably thought. Lots of laughs.

When we pulled into McCook we headed to the nursing home where we found grandma having her dinner with her girls pals in the cafeteria. Low and behold Aunt Fay showed up (Grandma's Sister/ Bridger's Great Aunt). She put Bridger on her walker and headed for the ice cream dispenser.

They shared chocolate ice cream together and Bridger thought grandma and Fay were the best. He loved being push around on their walkers.

I am truly blessed to have shared some special time with my Grandma. I miss her wit and charm so much.

After dinner and ice cream we headed back grandma's house to stay the night. Unfortunately there was a storm moving in, possible tornado's, and we didn't have a chance to see Aunt Jane. She stayed put at her farm just in case.

vacation part11...college world series 2013

This year was Bridger second year the CWS.

We watched Louisville versus Indiana.

Indiana won in what we call a pitchers game. Such good baseball.

Bridger made it on the big screen int he stadium with his dance moves. Love that boy.

We ate till we couldn't eat any more and Bridger was a trooper all the way till the 8th inning when we left.

The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for another great college world series. Thanks dad.
