What do YOU do on a rainy day?????

Look at those sweet eyes.
WE HAVE A PHOTO SHOOT!!!!
Looking at the light.

Cuuing face.
There's something so cute about a baby in their diaper.

He is getting so long every day.

Beautiful Boy

My favorite photo. Look at those rolls on his arms. Streeeeeeeeeeeeeetching out.

Look at those strong arms.

Not happy and done with the photos.

Bridger was finished with the photo shoot.

A boy and his dog watching it rain.
This morning Bridger and I got up and it was raining AGAIN!! Man this weather is getting old. I wish it would stop raining so we could get outside and go for a walk. So since the weather was icky we decided to have a photo shoot. It has been 4 weeks since this little guy was born (Friday) and time has flown by. I can't believe it. He is growing everyday and now is starting to cuu at us. I am excited for the day that he smiles at us on purpose not just in his sleep. :)

the art of pumping

This post might be a little "to much information" but I just need to vent about pumping. Since I am going back to work at the end of April I figured that I would start pumping after one or two feedings a day to start and build my supply. I have to say that the amount of time it takes to pump after Bridge is done feeding is 25-35 minutes and I only end up with one to two ounces. I am frustrated because today we tried to see if Bridge would take a bottle from daddy. I went and took a bath and Ben went to the living room so that he could feed him. They (the books) say that the mother should not introduce the bottle in case the baby gets nipple confusion. Sure enough I tell Ben to try and give the bottle to Bridge and if Bridger doesn't want it or gets frustrated don't force it. Well it wasn't even 5 minutes later and Ben and Bridger come into the bathroom with the biggest smile on his face. Bridger not only took the bottle but took it fast. He was a proud daddy!!! And I am relieved that Bridger will take a bottle. But .... when it takes so long to pump and I only get a small amount I wounder if I will ever get any more in that amount of time. I hope so!

Back to the week of Bridger. On Wednesday Bridger and I went to the grand opening of Rosasaur's and met up with Olivia and Meghann. WOW!! What an awesome grocery store. We went back today to do the major shopping for the week and I swear I could spend all day in that place. On Thursday Bridger seemed to have major gas issues and all day I did bicycles with him and sure enough he would pass a ton of gas. Poor guy. We didn't get much sleep that night. Yesterday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Parsons for our Friday Fish Fry! It has become part of a weekly treat ever since Bridger has been born. We love fish and Bridger loves his grandparents. Not much else has happened, we are going to try and attend church tomorrow depending on how the night goes. Wish us luck!

Here are some pictures from the week. Enjoy!

Goodbyes

Goodbyes are always hard and yesterday Bridger, Ben and I had to tell Grammy bye. It was a blast having her here for 8 days and wish she could've stayed longer. We had so much fun and can't wait for her to come back. Here are some pictures from the week. Enjoy. We love you mom.

2 week check-up

I am happy to report that Bridger did awesome at the doctors today. He gained back his weight plus some and also grew. He now weighs 8 lbs 13 oz and is 22 inches long. He is eating well and sleeping pretty good too. Doctor says his color looks great and he is a very alert little boy. We go back at the end of April for his 2 month check up and start immunizations.
My big boy!

Today Grammy, Bridge and I went and had brunch after the doctor. Bridge did amazing and slept all the way through. Grammy and mom had a chance to relax and enjoy a nice morning with yummy breakfest. We are all trying to soak in the last few days with Grammy since she is heading home tomorrow evening. It has been wonderful to have her here and we look forward to the next time she comes to visit us.

Here are a few pictures. Enjoy.

a new hair do and the bostroms

Bridger, Grammy and I went and got my haircut yesterday. Boy does it feel good to have it short and sassy!!! Bridger did awesome and Grammy was a trooper, helping bounce him when he got fussy at the end. Yesterday we all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Parsons for some yummy fish and some march madness. Bridger did awesome and while we were up there Bill (and Beck) gave up some helpful hints to get Bridger to sleep longer at night. We were very lucky that it WORKED! He slept from 10:30ish to 2:30-3am. Let's hope for round two tonight!!!

Aaron, Megann and Olivia stopped by today to have some burgers, beer and basketball. We hadn't seen them since the baby was born and Olivia was great with Bridger. She shh'ed him and sang to him too. We even got her to give baby Bridge a kiss on the forehead. I can't wait for those two to grow up together. Megs and I have big plans this week, we are going to take the babies to Rosauers grocery store (the new grocery store that is opening up on Wednesday) for the ribbon cutting and grand opening! I hear it is wonderful. I am also so excited for our summer because we have made lots of plans for the kids to go to the pool, library, water park, discovery center. Bridge might be alittle young for some of these outings but it will do us good to get out and socialize with other mommy's.

Here's some pictures from the last few days. Enjoy.

1st grade music program and a bath given by grandma

Today Bridger experienced his first music performance. He did great. Everyone at school was so excited to meet him and my students were thrilled that I was able to come. It was the cutest thing, when we walked in to the gym they were singing and they all turned to wave at me. It melted my heart. Bridger was loved on by many people today and I must say I am pretty lucky to work with such wonderful people. Here are a few pictures from today.

Even the boss was smitten by Bridger

Grammy gave Bridge a bath yesterday and he did amazing. The secret was the ducky wash cloth. He loved it.

Grandmas are the best

We have been spoiled!!! Not only does Bridger have his Grandma Parsons who lives in town but Grandma Gentry has flown in from Omaha to spend 8 days loving on him. All day today we have been hanging around the house napping, eatting, playing and repeating. Grandma found the right combination for dressing since it has been a little cold here. Instead of just a footie pj, grandma has layered him in a half shirt first and then dressing him in his footie jammies. He is so content. Here is  a cute picture. Enjoy.

up all night (not the tv show)

The title of this post sums up what it was like last night. Bridger slept tell 10:30pm last night and after that he was up all night. Every time I would move him to his pack and play he would sleep for 10 minutes and then he was up. I think I nursed him all night long. Poor Benny didn't get much sleep either, so I'm sure he will be exhausted tonight when he gets home.

Right now as we speak Bridge is sleeping like a bear. I wonder if this could be the start of a little growth spurt. I did put him in a 0-3 outfit since I was all out of long sleeve newborn shirts and it seemed to fit okay. A little big but it worked. My baby is growing so fast everyday.

Bridger is starting to smile and coo when we change him and play with him after his feeding. His favorite activity right now is looking at the kitchen lights.

Off to check on the babe.

Cousin time

Yesterday we had the chance to head to Uncle Bill and Aunt Beck's house to play with the cousins. It was a perfect day for flying kites (Audrey and Natalie) while Bridger was loved on by his Aunt and Uncle. Grandma and Grandpa couldn't get enough so they stopped by too to spend time with all of us. It sure is nice to have family close by.
Ben was cuddling with Nat, her poor little legs were so tired after running with the kite that she just wanted to be held.
