what? 1 week

How can it be that one week from today our baby boy will be 2? What a crazy thought and yet a very proud moment for all. I swear this year went faster then the year prior. Of course next week I will have a blog post solely for his second birthday but for now it is on to prepping for the birthday party!

Last week it seemed like everyday we were working late, up at the school for night events ("Build A Book"), and by Friday my body was saying "GO TO BED." Did I mention we are down to 57 school days till summer break and my class won the book fair contest!!! So excited.

Yesterday morning we headed out to see cousin Audrey play basketball. Might I say it was a hit! Our boy even managed to run out onto the court to give his cousin a hug, and was not to happy when I came after him. Luckily Audrey's coach let her get in one more squeeze before getting back to the game.   There is something so cute and funny about little girls running back and fourth with the parent on the side telling them to  "dribble" "dribble."

After the game we headed back to our side of town with a crying boy in tow who so desperately wanted to stay at the "Bas    Ball" game. We did our morning errands and we were back by the time he fell asleep for an early nap.

Next week is shaping up to be a great one! Gaga gets to town on Wednesday, Thursday it is Gaga and Bridge day, and Friday it is girls day! Of course there is a visit for mommy and Bridge to the dentist Friday morning but then it is off to enjoy a day with my mom, much needed. Daddy will be traveling so we will miss him but he will make his arrival back on Friday night.

Here is to the last week that my boy is one! Have a great week.

Daddy's GREAT idea

Here it is..... Ben's new great idea.

What do ya think? Big project huh? That's what I said.

Until I pulled out my camera and knew I had hit the jackpot on this backdrop! Thanks hunny!

No, Ben is not renovating an old car, but I bet I got some of your hearts racing :) I am constantly looking for new places to photograph and this one might be a major ten on my list of places. Of course there are a ton of "Private Property" signs posted all over so I was only able to get pictures from outside the fence.

Today we intended to go skiing/sledding in Idaho City  so we could escape the city and have a little fun but when we enter the town and saw all the tents down main street we knew we had to see what was happening. Once again that small town didn't fail, we had some of the tastetess chili all for $3. You could go around sampling all 11 kinds and mingle with the crowd.

Of course Bridger is always in the mix and does a great job making friends and being too cute for words. He was dressed in his snow gear so he had a little trouble walking around without rolling or falling down which was pretty entertaining.

While the judges were doing the first tasting we got a jump start walking the shops and playing with "Mariah" the dog who helps run the toy store! Such a fun store, we ended up with a train whistle for Bridger.

We enjoyed some orange juice, a hard rice krispie treat that we ended up trading in for a muffin and of course so more fun pictures.

Today we had a great day full of exploration and daddy's great idea's seem to always turn out fun and exciting.

V is for Valentines Day

Our boy had his first valentines party at school today. We made our valentines based on his birthday theme "paint" tine day! It received some rave reviews!

I'm a Pinterest kind of gal, so crafts and projects are right up my alley!

So many cute valentines for my love bug.

Tonight we are staying in and enjoying a take out meal of daddy's choice, since I cooked all week and I am exhausted from today.

The mailman delivered a special package today from Gaga! Someone was eagerly awaiting his "basketball" stickers.

Valentines day in an elementary school brings a whole new meaning to SUGAR OVERLOAD! Let's just say that it was an crazy last hour of school and this mama needs a glass of wine!

Recap snow day

It's been a busy week and daddy is HOME!

Of course that makes the weeks go by fast too.

Let's recap:
We went to Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dan's house for the Superbowl, however the game ended up being a major blow out. Of course their was some great comericals but the one that stole my heart was http://youtu.be/LKuQrKeGe6g

Bridger played and played all evening with his cousins. Aunt Barbara had lots of fun toys and out of no where she pulled out the basketball hoop and ball. Needless to say that was all Bridger needed for the rest of the night! Happy boy.

It was back to school on Monday and training Tuesday and Wednesday at the district office, which meant I missed hundred day! So Thursday we celebrated big time with a fun cake Bridger and I made for the class.
We had our first HOA meeting since moving to our new home. It was great. Lots of exciting stuff happening this year and I had chance to meet some more neighbors. It lasted till 10pm on Thursday so we were all hoping for a snow day Friday... with no luck it was back at Friday morning.

I recieved Bridger's Valentines day list for his party, so we will be busy creating our valentines this weekend. With that being said we are on a bit of a watch and wait game with him. He is sick with a horrible deep cough and a high fever. It started last night and he seems down for the count at the moment.

Last night we recieved quite a bit of snow. Around 6 inches. So this morning the boys went out to shovel and do a little sledding. The sledding part didn't last too long, big man wasn't quite up to it, so back we went inside to watch daddy.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and the Olympics!
