First week of school

We survived!

Bridger and I went back to school this week for the new school year and boy did it take a few days to get back into our schedule. Between waking up early and not getting home till after 5, it sure has made for a nice relaxing and sleeping weekend.

Bridger moved into his new room at school. He has "school" from 9-3 along with one nap and quiet time. They said he is doing really great and loves sitting at the big kid table. There are 4-6 kids that are all walking and talking in his class. Pretty cute.

My class size is at 23 which I am thrilled about. We are going to have a great year. Grad school starts on Monday, call me crazy but I am excited to continue on.

What a difference a year can make! Happy new school year everyone!

Ready, set, GO

PThose are the words that Bridger is living by these days. Whether its swimming and jumping from the side of the pool saying gggggggo or him running full speed around the house with daddy and grabbers, he is on the move.

What a crazy few weeks it has been. Tonight was open house and I am exhausted, great turn out! Bridge man was at daycare till 5pm and he was not interested in leaving when I pick him up! He got to play with the big kids and was having soo much fun. Makes it more bearable knowing your child is  having a great time while you are working all day.

Summer is winding down, hopefully we will catch the fair this weekend but in the mean time we will all be busy, excited, and tired every night this week until we get back into our routine! Here are some pictures!
Enjoy...

17 months

Bridger boy is 17 months old and is developing skills faster then I can document them. He is speaking and understanding. When I tell him we need to go to his room and change his diaper, he knows exactly where to go and waits by his changing table. His vocabulary is growing daily and with practice he is getting more and more sounds. Sitting back and watching him play and figure out things is so fun. He loves his drill and his toy car that comes apart with you unscrew the big plastic screws.

We are encountering more dare devilish things with him. His fear tolerance is very low. Between falling down, rolling off the bed, running into things he is one tough boy.

He is now in size 5 diapers, not exactly sure how much he weighs but he is growing tall and his features are really coming out.

Bridger will begin his new classroom when he goes back to school. Both him and mommy are a little sad that the summer is winding down, but we are just a short drive away from each other. His teachers are looking forward to having him back and he has been a big help at work this week!

On to more news........

It's FRIDAY! whoo hoo

So glad to be home tonight enjoying an evening with my boys. We have been so busy this week that all of us are just glad to lay back and relax in our pajamas by 7pm.

So what did we do this week;

- we worked in the classroom
- we continued to celebrate daddy's birthday, i hear when you turn 30 it's a pretty big deal so we are spoiling him for awhile! cake and lasagna was tonight!

-we installed the SMARTboard yesterday while our house was being shown.
- Bridger lost one shoe at Target and mommy couldn't find it even after climbing around on the ground and doing 3 drive bys in the store.

- one of my best friends flew back home from Italy after being there for 2 months! we are so happy she is home, we missed her.

All in all it was a good, fast week and the summer is quickly coming to an end! Here's to a few last celebrations!

a birthday, 17 months and a week without daddy

This past week has been a long one. Ben has been in Salt Lake since Sunday and Bridge and I have been keeping busy with getting the classroom set up and organized, showing our home, preping for all things school and of course having lots of fun in the mean time.

Daddy celebrated his 30th birthday down at O.R. From all accounts it sounds like he rang in his birthday in the right way ..... FUN!!! We are going to celebrate daddy's birthday when he gets home.

Bridger has been busy enjoying the last few weeks of summer and keeping this mama busy from sun up to sun down. Lately we have stopped two naps and instead we are having 1 very long nap (typically 3-4 hours around 12noon). Which in the mean time allows me to keep the house clean, tidy up stuff for school and prep myself for grad school again this Fall.

Bridger turned 17 months yesterday. How can that be? My little boy is growing so much everyday and recently he has blown my mind with his understanding of the things that I am saying to him. I will post a seperate blog post on his 17 months tomorrow.

Daddy comes home tonight! Whoo Hoo! We are looking forward to seeing him, we've missed him and a week is too long!
