Underwear

Say what??????
Big man has been wearing underwear all day today with no accidents.
We have slowly encouraged him the last week to tell us when he has to use the restroom.
Today while working away in my classroom he said very matter-of-factly that he needed to go pee.
Off we went quickly as could be and sure enough he went pee.
In the morning I sat him on the toilet and low and behold poop and pee.
Could we be on the verge of potty training and him actually getting the idea?
I think so!
But I do have to be honest about this and say that there is the convenience factor of diapers.
I constantly feel like at any moment we could have an accident and truth be told I don't always have a change of clothes on me for him.
More planning on my part before we go out I guess.
This makes me realize just how fast the last two years have gone.
I am not sad about changing diapers and I know that we will still be wearing diapers at night for a while, but when I look at how much he has grown I am starting to realize that the baby years are quickly coming to an end with this little guy.
There are definitely sweet moments at each developmental stage and there are some major trials in each stage as well.
We are figuring out this parent thing as we go along.
I am loving life as a family of three.
