When dad's away the kiddos will play

We have been staying busy since daddy headed out of town on Tuesday.
After recovering from the fun party on Saturday we needed to check off some of our summer bucket list items to keep mama from going stir crazy at the house! So.....

off to Jabber's on Wednesday when the storm rolled in for a little indoor play time and a chance for mom to finish some grad work. Colt hung with me and Bridger made some friends and had a blast. We closed down the shop by 7 and back home we went for baths and bed time.

Our garden got quite wind blown from the storm, although we didn't have much rain by our house. So I quickly tied up some of the garden and put the boys to bed.

Did I mention having daddy gone is tough! I hate locking the house up by myself and I definitely don't sleep as well as when he is home. So running on a half tank of energy these last few days has caught up with me.

By Thursday I knew if I could get Bridger down for a nap then we could head to Roaring Springs for the after 3pm deal $13.00 and I could strap Colt in the Ergo and Bridge could play for the evening. The weather was a little touch and go since it was cloudy but the clouds parted by the time we got there and the sunblock went on and off big man went. I hung back while he road the kiddy slides, what seemed like 20 times. That boy never stopped and I literally had to almost drag him out by 7:30 when the park was starting to shut down.

We ate there and even shared an icee! Haven't had one of those in ages! Colt was fantastic through it all and slept for the majority of it. I lucked out.

Our little guy did wake up with a cough this morning so off to school Bridger went to see his friends and show off his new haircut while Colt and I did a little work in my classroom and are home to nap and catch up on some sleep before we head back to pick Bridge up and then daddy from the airport tonight.

Its been a great week!
