Hives, Strep, 18 hours back home and Ikea… Say What? O and a Business meeting at Sportsman (June 16)

Our way back home started with a aching sore throat that I chalked up as being exhausted and way too tired.
However, it amounted to much more by the time we made it to Salt Lake and went to bed for the evening.
I work up around 1am, super hot and itchy. I looked in the mirror and much to my horror I was covered in huge welts of hives. I quickly work Ben back up and we decided not to go to the hospital and just take some benedryl. Sure enough I woke back up in the morning and was much better.

Ben and Jeff headed to Sportsmans for a meeting while I took the boys to Ikea. I checked Bridge into the children’s play area and headed on my way. Much to my surprise it was extremely overwhelming.
I went in looking for stuff for my classroom and left with nothing because it was shopping overload. I should’ve previewed and gone in with a list! THere's always next time.

By the time we hopped back into the car and headed for home I was starting to feel hot again. I took a short nap in the back of the car and woke up covered in hives all down the front of my body. I knew I had to call the doc.

We mapquested how long it would take to get to the doc from where we were and told them, the nurse said they closed at 5 and the latest appointment was 4:30, but my mapquest said we wouldn’t make it till 4:45pm. She told me she had to ask the doc if he would be willing to say. She got back on the phone and he said he would, thank you lord! We pulled in. Ben and Bridge stayed in the car. I went in with Colt and within in 20 mins of waiting, check in, and a quick brief with the doc they swabbed my throat and told me I had strep throat. He wasn’t too concerned with hives because of that but he did want me on antibiotics for 10 days and benadryl until it subsided!

By day 5 all hives were gone, sore throat was not even noticeable! Hurray. and luckily none of the boys got it!
