At the Zoo from Alanna on Vimeo.
Bridger is one year older since the last time we visited the Henry Dorley Zoo and Aquarium.
It lived up to every expectation and once again the Aquarium was the hit!
First it was off to the petting zoo so Bridger could get his fix of brushing the goats and visiting with the bunnies. Baby Kal had fallen asleep so it was all Bridger and he was off and running. No fear with this child.
Following the petting zoo was the dinosaur fossil digging. He loved this. He got right at it digging in the rubber sand and trying to find some fossil bones.
After a long stint at the dinosaur sand pit it was off to the Stingray Exhibit. This was new this year and it was impressive! Live stingrays to touch and feed dead fish too.
Bridger was little freaked out at first but following Gaga's lead he stepped right up and laughed every time they came by. Such a great hands on exhibit for kids.
Daddy bought the kiddos carousal rides, of course Bridger picked the horse and if he had it his way he would have gone around many times!
We trekked up the hill, saw the monkeys and chimpanzees and then it was off to my favorite ... The Aquarium.
Between the penguins, jelly fish, Japanese crab, sharks and fish aquariums I would venture to say that this is probably the hot spot at the zoo. It is magnificent. Nothing can compare to the beauty this has. I will let the pictures do the talking.
We finished up our zoo trip to the butterfly exhibit which was exciting. Several beautiful butterflies landed on me and Bridger was amazed, not exactly sure if he should touch them, but nonetheless enjoyed it.
The babies are fast asleep napping and we are getting ready to watch the world cup. GO USA!!!
