Happy Birthday mama

Today was the day. I turned 28 years old, yikes I'm getting close to 30! I got a notice of my 10 year high school reunion a few weeks ago informing me that this summer will mark 10 years. Funny how time flies once you get out of school and into the real world.

Today was filled with loving text messages, a few happy birthday voicemails, an email and cards in the mail with a special delivery from my teaching partner tonight.

 I feel loved.

My boy and I cozyed up tonight and read books and of course watched a little basketball. Nothing big  but certainly perfect. We will celebrate with cake when I know my stomach can handle it. But for now broth, apple sauce and bread was on the menu tonight!

I just got word tonight that the grant that I helped write was selected and fully funded. $40,000 which makes up 80 iPad and 2 carts, keyboards , 2 wires less printers,  apps galore  and an  iMac. Great way to end the day.
