vacation part4... the zoo

We went to the zoo on Monday.
There is truly no better zoo in my opinion. The Henry Doorly Zoo keeps getting better and better every time I visit.
Bridger loved it. He saw so many animals that we have talked about and at times he would chat and chat up a storm with the monkeys. It was so much fun.
The first stop was the rainforest. And it lived up to everything that I remember it to be when I was a kid.
The animals were up and interactive with each other and making lots of noise for all the kids.
We even watch the soft shell turtle make its way into the water from above. LONG process but fun to watch.

Bridger loved all the waterfalls that we walked through.
It is so much fun doing these things and watch your child as they begin to explore the surroundings.

Auntie K came with us and baby Kallen was so good.

Next it was off to the beautiful aquarium. My favorite. Bridger could have watched the fish swim all day but there was so much to explore.
The PEGUINS! Every time they would swim by him he would laugh and laugh.

By the end he wanted to take his clothes off and enjoy the ice cold water with them.
After we finished the aquarium it was time for lunch. Daddy got is us water to enjoy while we waited for pizza and popcorn. I don't know who had more of the popcorn us or the birds that surrounded us.
The zoo had a new exhibit about the dinosaurs and they had a kids area where they could help dig up the bones. So much fun to watch them explore.

Daddy knew how much I wanted to take Bridger on the carousel so we got our tickets and we headed up to find the perfect horsey to ride.
Bridger was so intrigued by all the lights and music. What a memory to have.
After a long day at the zoo it was finally time to head home. Such a great day.
