My sister and I woke up early on Sunday and wanted to get out of the house and go explore with the kids. When we decided to head out of course the rain started AGAIN. None the less we packed up the strollers and blankets and headed out to create some fun memories.
First stopped downtown for some sandcastle building.
The arts festival and beer festival were happening and regardless of the rain people were out and about having fun.
By the time we walked the sand castles the babies were letting us know that they had had enough, so we hopped in the car and went to the kiddy play area at the mall and let Bridger boy run off some steam.
Next it was off to see Brian for dinner. We meet him down at the old market for some margaritas and tacos. Lots of chatting about the dogs!
We decided since we had time to hit up the candy shop, and boy was it good. Lots of homemade chocolates and of course fun candy for back in the day. We got a few different kinds of truffles and Bri couldn't resists some rock candy.
We followed up our evening with some window shopping and strolling downtown. So much fun!
After Bri headed back home Ben and I decided to take a nice walk on the new pedestrian bridge.
It was huge and Bridger had lots of fun too.
You could see the whole downtown of Omaha and the Itlian festival was happing down on Rick's Boat Yard.
The bridge crosses the were the Nebraska and Iowa border meets on the river.
The College World Series is gearing up and from the bridge you could see the stadium. We are excited for Friday.
By the time we got home Bridger climbed up on grandpa's lap and figure out which games we will be attending. Little baseball player!
