What turned into busy work all throughout the house.
There was small talk about redoing the bark around the landscape, and that turned to maybe we should just rock it so we don't have to deal with bark again. The next thing you know Benjamin is on the phone with international rock getting all the details squared away and has picked up a trailer to haul the rock back home Saturday morning, all before Bridger's soccer game.
Off to soccer we went.
Bridger did a fantastic job, scored 2 goals and was completely exhausted.
His team is kind of like the odd squad. We started with four players, then one was added, now that same one quit so we are down to four again. However, one little boy only likes to do soccer at practice, he didn't want to play at all during last weeks game. Then there is a cute little petite girl, who mind you is the coaches daughter, and she doesn't enjoy all the kids chasing after the ball, so when it comes her way she gets freaked out and runs off the field. So now we are down to Bridger and another little girl who both mind you love soccer. This little girl in particular is feisty, and Bridger is picking up on a little bit of that feistiness and there was a little more pushing this game then any in the past. We found out later at home that Bridger knew another player from the other team so he was a slight bit distracted, running around in circles and goofing off. We sure have enjoyed soccer season, we will probably keep Bridger in U4 for the next two season so he plays his age of kids. He is definitely the youngest and I want to keep that little innocence for as long as possibly.

Next up, was back to the truck to pick up more rock. Gma and Gpa and Brian picked up tacos and met us back at the house. They help daddy continue to lay rock down. I however was exhausted. An exhausted mama with a tired 6 week old makes for a long afternoon.
Later in the evening after much pleading for daddy to take a break from the landscape, daddy and Bridger finally started laying out the garden and planting the seeds. We only got about half way done before it was dark, way past bed times and we still had not ate dinner. Off for a quick burger and back home to get ready for bed.
Up bright and early today for daddy to keep working on the rock. Mommy and the boys hung in the house before Bridger was antsy and wanted to go help. I laid Colter down and took a shower and got ready for a church outing with Gma, Becky, Libby, Ann Marie and Barbara. As my brother-in-law put it, "wow Alanna, is this a formal you are going to!" Ha! Real funny Bill. For once I actually got a shower, did my hair and put on dress after 6 weeks of having a new baby. It felt good, but I was quickly reminded how a baby changes your body! Cinco de Mayo Church function was very nice and it was wonderful to catch up with all the ladies. Lots of laughter and stories told. Of course my breasts leaked and just when I thought I didn't need pads in my bras, I was quickly reminded how funny life is when you least expect it. Thankfully I was wearing all black and they had us wear name tags so I just covered up the wet spot and went into the restroom and made some make shift nursing pads for my bras in the church bathroom. Lovely!
(yes Colter is saying, "C'mon Mom I am just trying to catch a little sleep!"
Back home we went to finish the garden, keep on laying more rock and catch up naps for the little guy. It was a fun, FILLED, FAST weekend.
