Weekend slides and disciplining a two year old

Daddy pulled out our college blow up slide that we purchased almost 9 years ago when we were young college kids looking to have a good time out on theMissouri  river the summer that we first met each other. I certainly didn't think that after four moves and half way across the country this blow up slide and river raft tube (not pictures- we didn't blow this part up) would make it let alone be function able for our two and half year old to play with.

However, daddy was determined to set this thing up in the playroom upstairs so Bridge could have a ball during the start of many cold days heading our way.

Our weekend has been consumed with pumping this raft/slide with a foot bump, arranging the room so if Bridger falls he won't hurt himself too bad and listening to the laughter that takes place up stairs in the playroom.

With any new contraption this brings out some unruly behavior when it comes to mommy saying, "okay one last time then it is time for bed." So with this behavior Bridger has seen the corner of his bedroom a lot this weekend. Whether its the new toy or the two an half year old behavior, being consistent and following through is exhausting. I know how important it is to be consistent and have follow through but nobody told me how exhausting it is when it comes to your own child. At school is certainly doesn't seem this difficult or tiring but with my own child my gosh !

Anyways onto another week and looking forward to thanksgiving break and getting caught up with everything in my to do list. I think I heard on the radio there is only 6 weekends left till Christmas!

How fast time flies!
