Halloween 2014

Another event in the books!
Although we never got around to carving our pumpkins we still managed to fit in a jam pack Halloween day.
We started off the morning with Bridger pajama harvest party at his school. We were in charge of the salami (elk) and cheese tray. Bridger was to dress in his festive pjs. The girls captured some great pictures, I am waiting to get those from them then I will finish posting.

Next mama came back at 1:30pm to pick him up and took him to my school for our annual halloween costume parade. It happened to be right in the middle of nap time and he was totally confused but still managed to hang. The parade has been a long time tradition at Centennial and Bridger has been partaking since he was born. So after a quick car ride I changed him into his Franklin the Turtle costume ( this years theme was story book characters) and headed back to class to partake in all the activities. My class was excited to meet Bridger, he was quite hesitant since he had just woke up and about 20 4th graders quickly surrounded him to say hello! After 20 minutes of getting to know them he found a buddy (one of my students) dressed as a baseball player and he was hooked. They played catch and from then on he fit right in.

Around 4pm after the kids loaded the buses and the classroom was cleaned we headed back home in time for a long nap. Daddy got home and thought we were going to head out but Bridger was fast asleep so we decided to eat dinner together and wait till he woke. Around 6:30pm Bridger finally woke from his nap and he was ready for round three. When daddy said that we were headed to B's for some trick or treating he was ready to put his costume on (this time he was a duck) and head out.

We had intended to stay only for a short time but we ended enjoying ourselves and Bridger was infatuated with all the trick or treaters that he wanted to stay and help auntie B pass out candy. Dan and I chatted in the living room, Ben and cousin Lisa enjoyed some wine and beer in the kitchen and Bridge and B were busy answering the door and passing out candy. We ended our night with a tired little boy, a bucket full of candy that Auntie B loaded him up with, and two tired parents ready to hit the bed.

It was a great day and night and memories were made!
