Snow day!

The best news ever especially on a Friday! I woke up around 5:30 checked my email and sure enough their was a district wide email sent at 4:30 stating there was no school. 

This lead to daddy getting up and shoveling before he headed out for work. Bridge woke with all the excitement and thus we haven't been back to bed since. 

As soon as the sun came up Bridge was ready to dress and head out to play in the snow. 

Round two of shoveling came with this mama doing her best while keeping my son out of the piles of snow making its way back onto the driveway! 

He lasted much longer than expected, however as soon as his hands got wet it was all over. In the house we went for hot coco, cereal and oatmeal for me. 

The fireplace is on, fresh dry pjs are on and we are hunkered down for the day. I'm thinking a little baking maybe happening this afternoon; I've got some bananas that either need to be tossed or turned into yummy warm banana bread!
