weed whacker 1 me 0

This weekend was full of yard work. Call us crazy, the one weekend we decided to finish the backyard is the same weekend with record breaking temperatures ... up into the 100's.

The backyard looks great, Ben finished all the curbing, we rocked around the two outside trees, I planted a rose bush on the side of the house, pulled weeds, mowed the lawn and Ben taught me how to thread the weed whacker.

Since today was Bridger's day for daycare, I took him in first thing this morning so that I could have the whole day to get the inside of the house organized and clean from the weekend and get caught up on laundry. It was nice to finally get that all accomplished.  I decided to edge the back lawn a little bit since we didn't get a chance to do that after we were finished with the curbing on Saturday. So i got the weed whacker out, threaded it just like Ben taught me, and plugged it in...... and..... what happen next was not in the steps exactly. I forgot that the string is always a little long and you have to hold the whacker away from you so that it will chop off the excess. Well I didn't do that step, and here are the results....

OUCH!

It looks like it is going to be a hot week, and so will the forth, we will be soaking in the rays and hanging out at the pool.

Happy early 22nd birthday Kaela and happy 99th birthday Grandma Mackey!
