Bridger loves when daddy dances! Even when mommys show "The Voice" is on!!! Love my boys. |
Today at daycare they said that he was playing with the little girl who is his same age and said that she kept trying to scoot closer and stick her hands out so Bridger play with them, but instead Bridger would just flash his cute smile at her. They giggled and giggled the teacher said. Ms. Rhea said that Bridger tried a Sippy cup today at school and said that he did great, so they suggested I bring one of his own in to have at school. How can my boy be ready for a Sippy cup? It feels like yesterday when he was born.
O and my co-worker Heidi had her baby on Friday. I went and visited at the hospital and it is amazing to remember just how small they were when they were first born her little girl was 6lbs 3oz. TINY!
My boy is feeling so much better. It's night and day when he is sick. I am happy to report that he just has a little bit of a runny nose. We go to the doctor for his 6 month check up tomorrow (shots and all) :( When we were in last Tuesday they weighed him and he was 18lbs 13oz, but I didn't get a height on him. I will be curious to see how tall he is.
Saturday Ben and Grandpa Parsons went ELK hunting and I told Ben before he shut the door to head out, "Make sure you guys get an elk this year because otherwise I'm going to have to question your shooting abilities and send you off to shooting class." He chuckled and I said, "No I am serious." Deep down inside I was very optimistic whether they would get one this year or not. Ben said that Grandpa was on a seven year strike with no luck. I am so happy to report that Grandpa Parsons shot an elk, a VERY BIG one too! I am so proud of those boys. I know it meant the world to Ben to share that moment with his dad and I can only hope that someday Bridge will be able to share in a moment like that with the both of them too. Great Job!
Daddy has been a trooper this week. He has taken night shift with Bridger. Making his bottles, feeding, changing etc. just so I could get some actual sleep. I have been so busy at work and most days I feel like I am barley keeping my head above the water. I often think to myself, "how in the world do other families who have both parents working outside the home do it?" I feel like I am constantly running at 100mph and only completing jobs at an 80%. In my mind 80% is not acceptable. I am a 110% kind of gal. But I do need to say though that I feel very blessed and loved and thank god every day that I have a husband who is taking this journey in life with me every step of the way.
The last quick thing I need to post before I hop out of the bath tub and get my little guy ready for bed is the memories that we made with my friend Jessica. I have worked with Jess for 2 going on 3 years and she was my teammate when I first started teaching first grade. Recently her husband got a new job and they have been busy packing and getting ready for the move. They are heading to Iowa and I am so sad to see her leave. She is a very special and dear friend and not seeing her everyday has made this year a little bit harder. We spent Saturday reminiscing, laughing about all the crazy things that had happen and I will truly miss her. I know that baby Bridger will miss her too!
