a mother's instinct

I knew I should have listen to my gut this morning. Bridge was up off and on all night last night so when it was time to wake up I could tell my little guy was not feeling quite right. But with all that had to be done I pressed on. Driving to school Bridge screamed and wouldn't take his bottle. I dropped him off at daycare with my stomach in knots and my eyes full of tears because I was "that" mom who took her kid to school sick. No temp but very fussy and not eatting should've been my clues. Around noon I got a call from the teacher saying Bridger won't eat, wont lay down without screaming. I packed up my stuff and rush to get him. It was off to the doctor's to confirm what I suspected all along... ear infection. My boy has his first ear infection and on his first medication. Poor guy. Around 6pm tonight I finally got him to take more then two ounces of formula and fall asleep. Hope things get better soon. Nothing worse then your own kid sick and in pain.
