To Kay

This post is dedicated to our Auntie Kay. Aunt Kaela came to visit Bridger on Thursday night. We were so thrilled to spend time with her and were busy from the time we got up to the time she went to bed. The only thing that could have made her trip better was if she could have stayed longer. :( We miss her already.

I must say the moment her and Bridger locked eyes they were best friends. He would look at her and smiled all the time. It was fun to watch her act around him. She had a calm that came over her every time she held him. At first she was very unsure on how to change his diaper, she quickly learned and by the time she changed his last diaper today (it was a #2) she had it down to perfection. Tight, up the back, around the legs and a good snug fit. She did encounter her first blow out, which taught her that she need to make sure the waist and legs were tight otherwise the poop would spray out. We had many many laughs together.

On Friday Kaela, Bridger and I went to Nordstrom's Rack for the opening (the first one here in Boise). I had been to one before in Chicago but the one here was AWESOME. The store was at least 1/3rd full of shoes. The whole entire back wall was covered in shoes and if you ask my sister or I what our weakness is it is shoes. We ended up walking out with a few goodies and will definitely be heading back there soon.

That evening when Ben got home from work we all headed out to Bardenay (one of Ben and my favorites) restaurant. We met Ben's good friend Eric there and happen to run into a gal I work with at school. Kaela had a club sandwich with mash potatoes, Ben had a Kobe beef sandwich and I had a mozzarella, tomato pesto sandwich. We ordered a salmon spread for an appetizer and it was Delicious. After dinner we had dessert at U.Swirl AMAZING - I recommend their mango Yogurt!!! Following that we headed home in time to give Bridger a bath. Kaela got the "how to" while Grammy in Omaha watch on Skype. Bridger pooped three times while in the bath, I guess he must of really liked it.

Saturday was just as busy we all woke up and headed to the bagel shop for a little breakfast before it was time to go and celebrate Grandma Parsons birthday at Louie's. We met Grandma and Grandpa Parsons, Bill Audrey and Natalie there too. Unfortunately Aunt Becky was at home recovering from and her Lasik. We all enjoyed yummy Italian food for lunch and then returned to our house for cake and ice cream. Bill and the girls made the cake which was delicious and we all sang happy birthday. There was lots of play time, cuddling and even a little "rough housing" with Ben and the little girls.

Once everyone left all four of us crashed. We all took naps till about 5 and then resurfaced just in time for dinner. Kaela loves Mexican food so we took her to our favorite spot which is El Pollo .... out in Kuna. I had my first mango margarita since being pregnant, it was very good. We enjoyed dinner and then headed home.

Sunday came to quick but we still managed to have a great time before Kaela had to leave. We woke up stopped for some ice coffee and then headed to the greenbelt in Eagle for a little walk. The river was very high which made for a little detour since the path was covered in water. Once we got around that we were on our way. We stopped for many photos and had a wonderful chatting about life. After our walk we had built up an appetite and headed to Flat Bread Pizza, one of Ben's favorites. We all got a pizza and small sides of Mac and Cheese (AMAZING).

Before we knew it it was time for Kay to pack her bags and head to the airport. The goodbye was very hard and I HATE saying goodbye, but I know we will see her again soon. We love her very much and Bridger is blessed to have spent time with her. See you soon Kay.
