here we go again...

Bridger was home today with a fever and lots of diarrhea.
growing so fast!

Poor baby just can't seem to catch a break.

I don't know if it is teething, sickness or a combination of both. I can't seem to feel any new bumps on his gums so it is hard to say whether he is getting more teeth. Who knows???

But I do love our quite days of cuddles on the chair and mama loving on Bridge all day.

I have so much to blog about since the last time so here we go. On Saturday night we hosted the Ugly Sweater Holiday Party for my work and it was WONDERFUL!

Lots of work leading up to it but it turned out to be a wonderful night and one that many people will remember.

Since I was on the committee this year I volunteer up our home in hopes of trying something new, versus the same old outing to "pizza."

I had lots of help from the other committee members and the party was a hit.

We had LOTS of food, games and even managed two different photo booths all set up in our home.

I think at one point during the night I counted roughly 40 people. Great turn out.

Addie and myself set up the sit down dinner up stairs, and for some of you you might scratch your head and ask, "how the heck can they fit 40 people upstairs?"

Lets just say it was a tight, close group and we had the window open and the fan a' blown!

People seemed to have a wonderful time and by the end of the night I had so much help that the house was torn down and put back by the time the last person walked out the door.

Now that's what I call a great crew!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Parsons watched Bridger during the Christmas party and from what Bridger (aka. daddy) told me they had a great time which included bath time in the sink. So stinkin CUTE!

Bridger also did a lot of wrestling with Grandpa and spent the evening relaxing/sleeping while watching the Gonzaga Basketball game with Grandma.

Sunday was spent RELAXING! Exactly what we needed. We enjoyed a few naps, a little bbq from Mickie Rays (take-out of course) no longer enjoying a sit down meal with a 9 month old :) and a pajama Sunday!

There are 8 more days till Christmas Break and I couldn't be more thrilled.

We have so much planned and yet it is going to be very relaxing. Hopefully we will all get back to feeling normal and the pace of life will SLOW down just a bit. We are headed off to Sun Valley this weekend for a little R&R and daddy has a afternoon appearance that he is making for Lucky Bums, so we decided to roll the trip into one. Sounds like there will be lots of snow and plenty of activities/shopping to keep me and Bridger occupied!

so much fun!

Annual holiday lights tour

Every since Ben and I have known each other we always pick an evening and map out where we want to go and look at lights.

One year it was in Omaha at the mansions, another year we went to one of the highest points in Boise and looked over the city, then there was a time where we map quested all the cool light displays according to the news station and we also checked out Winter GardenaGlow.

So this year was no exception, expect for one thing. Ben didn't tell me where we were going or how COOL it was going to be. Just to grab my camera.

So after he hung our lights on our house, which I must note that they look AWESOME, we headed off to Starbucks to get our Carmel Brule Soy Latte and took off to see some lights.

We arrived at our destination and I'm pretty sure I was acting all giddy and childish because he took me to the River walk Winter Wonderland and it was BEAUTIFUL.

Enjoy the pictures and thank you hunny for the lovely evening with you and Bridge!

Love you guys.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where you go.........

Those are some of my favorite lyrics during the holiday season. I absolutly love the holidays and what it means. Family, friends, giving thanks, food, traditions, laughter, fun, beauty, reflection.

Over the past two weekends we have been busy getting ready for Christmas.

From cutting down our Christmas tree in the Boise National Forest (a tradition) that we have done since moving to Idaho and decorating it as soon as we get home.

To helping Grandma and Grandpa decorate Christmas cookies (they have been that since they got married, wow what a tradition!)

And now our newly annual holiday light tour around the valley ( a new post on this later)

Bridger has been busy getting into the traditions and holiday spirit.

Bridger turns 9 months old

Yesterday our boy turned 9 months old. He has been on the outside of the world the same amount of time as when he was inside of me!

It is truly an amazing journey that Ben and I are blessed to walk on with our little guy. He is growing by the minute.

Nine month notes about Bridger:

  • He has two bottom teeth and I haven't felt a bump yet for the top ones.
  • He doesn't crawl on all fours, he would rather army crawl to get everywhere.
  • But look out, because he will try and pull himself up on everything and everybody.
  • He wears alot of 12 month clothes.
  • I weighed him today and I think it is safe to say that he is 21 pounds.
  • He loves to eat when mommy and daddy eat and usually he will try almost anything you give him.. depending on his mood.
  • He had his first Grandma Parsons OVERNIGHT BUN for his birthday dinner.

  • Bridger's teachers describe his personality as, "Bridger is strong willed and he will let you know when he needs something, otherwise there is no luck in convincing him to do otherwise."
  • He belly laughs like it's no ones business and it is sooooo cute.
  • He loves falling to sleep with Celine Dion on.
  • He definitely loves his mommy time, poor daddy, when I walk out of the room he gets upset until I come back around the corner and then he can see me and calms down. But daddy can get Bridge to laugh his head off.
  • Last one, there are no socks that will stay on his feet... so try going to the grocery store and the little old man saying to you, "you know he is going to freeze his toes off, it is December" Ugh, yes sir I am aware but he takes them off the first second I turn my back. Lovely!
Found the door knob.
Anyways, we are proud of you big boy, you make us so happy and we are grateful for you each and everyday.

We love you baby boy,
Mommy and Daddy
